Story

Another scorching location in Abu Dhabi for our crew to film CoxGomyl’s machinery, was at the imaginative and distinctively designed Hilal Bank Tower. This progressive Islamic bank’s central hub features stacked cubes, slightly offset from each other, to create a rather avant-garde structure, which required a tailored access solution. Operating on tracks at roof level, a ‘crane type’ BMU with an outreach of 9 meters, elevates the cradle over the perimeter wall, where the standout feature, called, ‘Self Approaching Mechanism’, allows the BMU to reach every facet of the offset cubes facades. Utilising a range of cameras, our two minute highlights video reveals this astonishing apparatus and unique building, where engineering and architecture work in harmony.
